Good To Know
The zoo sorta made me sad and I was disappointed overall with my experience. Once you walk to the area with the viewing windows, you are hit with an overwhelming odor of urine and dirty enclosures. And mind you, these enclosures are not open, but enclosed by glass. None of the animals seem to have enrichment toys within their enclosures and we're just found pacing and very anxious. The outside animals which consisted of goats, donkey and llamas were contained in a very muddy and feces caked area. This area also wreaked quite badly. And beyond that area was a small aviary area with a few roosters in a small enclosure. This area made no sense to me. Overall, I wouldn't return. Can tell it's all about the revenue and not about the welfare of the animals.
Loved looking at all the animals. My favorite was the Serval Cat. The baby goats were also cute and the lemurs.
Rainforest Adventures was quick to respond to my request, and were very polite and helpful! Thank you so much for everything!
The exhibit was great. So many colorful birds that I have never seen before. The animals were amazing. I definitely would recommend this place to visit while on vacation.
