The Adopted Chinese Children Association (ACCA) Reunion is hosted annually at the Smoky Mountain Palace. The 4th Annual ACCA Reunion to be held July 6, 2013.
Each year, the Smoky Mountain Palace in Sevierville, Tennessee, provides children that are adopted from China the opportunity to reconnect with the culture they left behind.
Mr. Lizhi Zhao founded the Adopted Chinese Children Association (ACCA) while at the New Shanghai Theater, in Branson, Missouri. Zhao, who is also producer of Cirque de Chine at the Smoky Mountain Palace in Sevierville, Tennessee, was so impressed with the success of the program that he started a branch of the ACCA in the Smoky Mountains in 2008.
Hundreds of families from across the country that have adopted children from China come to Sevierville each July for this fun-filled, cultural event.
This experience provides the children and their families and opportunity to connect with Chinese culture through food, newfound friendships, entertainment and traditional Chinese games.
The reunion package event includes tickets to the breathtaking acrobatic show Cirque de Chine, a gift package, the opportunity to create their own special souvenir, and learn special skills through Chinese traditional games such as the Chinese Yo-Yo and chopsticks/marbles.
All adopted children ages 17 and under enjoy free admission with exclusive discounts for the adoption families and relatives.
